STUDENTS BRING PHONES TO SCHOOL : SHOULD THEY OR SHOULD NOT THEY?
Development of technology makes learning easier, faster and better. We often heard about cases where students bring phones to school and then the phone was stolen or confiscated by the teachers. The government never allowed the students to bring phones to school, but the students tend to not obey the rules. The study carried out was to study the pros and cons of students bringing their mobile phones to school. Is it convenient or not? We also wanted to find out the variety of opinion regarding the topic from differents views of persons which were the school administrator, teachers, students and parents. The study also was conducted to find out possible solutions on solving the issue.
My very First Introduction in UKM
This is one of my favourite courses in UKM. The lecturer is Miss Azlina Binti Abdul Aziz. I really like her. Her English is very good and she is veeery nice too. The first task that we got in her class was writing an autobiography about ourselves. Then, the following week, we have to read in front of our friends. I was really shy at first but then, everyone can do it, why can't I? So here is my autobiography...
Dusk was falling, the mosquitoes were out, but then, the hospital ,still very busy. At 4 in the evening, baby screams was heard from inside the delivery room. I come to this world five years before the world turned to its 21st century. I am the first child to my parents. They are so happy with the birth as i am the sign of their love. I was born in Hospital Besut , Terengganu. In my birth certificate, the nurse wrote my father`s occupation as a student because when he got me, he was still studying in one of the oldest university in Malaysia, University of Malaya.
I was raised in a small village called Kampung Padang Luas. It is my mother`s hometown. There, I learned to crawl and walk. Then, when i was a year old, my father finished his study and got his first posting as a teacher in a secondary school in Setiu, Terengganu. The place where i live now. I used to think my grandparents were my biological parents. At night, when i was in Setiu, i cried a lot and begged my parents to send me to my grandparents. I felt much more comfortable with them .
I, myself did not really know when was my passion for english started. As far as i remember, during primary school, i loved to do english exercises a lot! Months before sitting for the UPSR, my father sent me to a tuition academy. There was an Indian teacher who taught english. People said that he was very fierce, but to me, he is not. Because of him, I started to speak more english language rather than before. At home, we do not speak english so much but after that, i began to speak english with my parents and siblings.
During my years in secondary school, i fall in love again with english language. The teacher who taught me was really passionate in english too. In her class, whoever speak other than english, they need to pay 20 cents for each word. So i withstand myself from speaking other language. During my STPM, the teacher, again taught me english. MUET. It is a mandatory requirement for university admission. Thanks to her, i got to stand where i am now. Im going to spread the joy of english so that many more Malaysians could master in english especially people from the east coast of Malaysia .
